An SEO Audit That Ends in Real Fixes

Know exactly why you're not ranking, and what it's worth to fix it.

Plenty of SEO audits are sales documents: sixty pages of screenshots, three of which matter. Our SEO audit is a diagnosis built by developers. It shows what's holding your rankings back, what each fix is worth, and a prioritized plan we can implement ourselves as soon as you say go.

What’s included

01

Technical Diagnosis

A full crawl plus Search Console data: indexing problems, architecture issues, Core Web Vitals, rendering failures and structured-data gaps, ranked by impact.

02

Content & Keyword Gaps

Where you rank compared with where the demand is: pages that should exist, pages competing with each other, and quick wins sitting on page two.

03

Competitor Reality Check

What the sites outranking you have that you don't, whether that's authority, content depth or technical execution, so the plan targets the real gap.

What You Get From an SEO Audit

A prioritized findings report in plain language: each issue, the evidence for it, its likely impact and the specific fix. You can hand it to any developer or agency and use it as a build plan. Because we build and fix sites ourselves, the fastest route is usually letting the team that found the problems ship the fixes.

Every audit also covers AI-search readiness: whether GPTBot and other AI crawlers can read your site, whether your structured data and business information are consistent enough to be cited, and how assistants describe you today.

How the Audit Works, Step by Step

First we collect data: a full crawl of the site, Search Console performance and indexing reports, analytics, and a look at the top results for your most important searches. If you give us access, we also review your Google Business Profile and any past SEO or redesign work.

Then we analyse and prioritize. Every finding is sorted into fix-now, fix-soon and monitor, with an estimate of effort. Finally we walk through the report with you on a call, so each recommendation is understood and questioned before anything is implemented.

The Checklist Behind Our SEO Audit

Indexing: which pages Google has indexed, excluded or ignored, and why. Architecture: URL structure, internal links, orphaned pages and crawl depth. Duplication: canonical tags, parameter URLs and near-identical pages. Performance: Core Web Vitals from real-user data where available. Rendering: whether the content exists in the HTML crawlers receive. Structured data: what's present, what's broken and what's missing.

Content: keyword-to-page mapping, pages competing for the same query, thin pages and missing pages. Local: Business Profile, citations and location pages for businesses that serve a region. Links: the quality and relevance of sites linking to you compared with competitors.

What Happens After the Audit

You have three options, and all of them are fine with us. You can take the report and have your own developer or marketing team work through it. You can hire us to implement the fixes, in which case the audit's priority list becomes the project plan and nothing gets re-diagnosed. Or you can move into an ongoing SEO engagement, where the audit is month one and the fixes, content and reporting follow.

Whichever you choose, we recommend a follow-up crawl about six to eight weeks after the fixes go live. It confirms the changes worked, that Google has picked them up, and that nothing new broke along the way.

Who Should Get an SEO Audit

Businesses whose traffic has plateaued or dropped, sites that were redesigned and never recovered, stores that rank below smaller competitors, and anyone about to invest in SEO who wants to know the starting point first. An audit is also a low-risk way to evaluate us, because the quality of the diagnosis tells you a lot about the team.

Frequently asked questions

What does an SEO audit include?

A full technical crawl (indexing, architecture, speed, rendering, structured data), a content and keyword-gap analysis against real search demand, a competitor comparison and an AI-search readiness check. It arrives as a prioritized, plain-language plan with the impact and fix for each finding.

How long does an SEO audit take?

Usually one to two weeks depending on site size. A 30-page service site is faster than a 10,000-URL store. You get the findings in a working session as well as a document, so every recommendation is understood before anything is implemented.

How much does an SEO audit cost?

It scales with site size and complexity; a local service site is a different job than a large ecommerce catalogue. Book a call and we'll quote it after seeing the site. If you move ahead with implementation, the audit becomes the build plan.

Will you fix the issues you find?

Yes. We're a development team as much as an SEO team, so recommendations can go straight to implementation: template fixes, speed work, structured data, redirects and content.

My traffic dropped after a redesign. Can an audit find why?

Usually, yes. Post-redesign drops almost always trace to specific causes: lost redirects, changed URLs, removed content, slower templates or rendering that crawlers can't read. The audit isolates which of these hit you and sets out the recovery plan in priority order.

What access do you need for an SEO audit?

Read access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics is the most useful. We can crawl the public site without any access, but Search Console data shows how Google actually sees it. Business Profile access helps for local businesses.

Is a free automated SEO report good enough?

Automated tools are good at finding symptoms like missing alt text or long titles. They're poor at deciding what matters for your business, and they can't compare your pages against the specific competitors ranking above you. The audit's value is in that judgment and prioritization.
